Ethiopian quest to re-create ancient manuscripts

Ethiopian Orthodox priests and lay worshippers at the Hamere Berhan Institute in Addis Ababa are working to replicate ancient religious manuscripts and sacred artwork. The manuscripts, written in the ancient Ge’ez language, are copied onto goatskin parchment using bamboo ink pens and local plant-based inks.
